The most important thing is to trust yourself. Collecting a sample with the Teal Wand is designed to be quick, comfortable, and easy. You can do this! Over 98% of participants in our clinical trial successfully collected a vaginal sample using the Wand. Take your time and thoroughly [read the instructions or watch the video](https://support.getteal.com/how-do-i-collect-a-sample?hsLang=en)so that you can feel prepared. Do not remove the Wand from its packaging until you are ready to collect. Most women have preferred standing with one foot propped up, slightly squatting, sitting or slightly leaning back (similar to inserting a tampon). It is also great to plan ahead. Once you collect your sample, you need to drop it in the US Postal Service mail within 24 hours of collection, so it is best to avoid collecting on days the USPS is closed, such as Sundays and holidays. You can also [schedule a USPS pickup](https://tools.usps.com/schedule-pickup-steps.htm) for the day you plan to collect your sample.
