Can I use the Teal Wand if I had a cervical cancer screening result showing moderate to severe precancerous changes (CIN2, CIN3, HSIL, or atypical glandular cells) in the past?

If you have had a LEEP or cold knife procedure for moderate to severe precancerous changes (HSIL, CIN2, CIN3, atypical glandular cells) in the past 25 years, it is recommended that you continue screening in-clinic.

If it has been more than 25 years since you had a LEEP or cold knife procedure, you can screen at home with Teal. But please make sure to let your Teal provider know about your prior cervical cancer screening results and relevant procedures in your screening history form and during your Intro Visit.

If you have not had a LEEP or cold knife procedure, but have had past results that reflect HSIL, CIN2, CIN3, atypical glandular cells, you should also let your Teal provider know about these results and any follow-up care. You and your Teal provider can work together to decide which screening option is best for you.
