Can I use the Teal Wand if I had sex recently?

We recommend that you wait 48 hours after sex before using the Teal Wand, so that you can collect the most accurate sample. This is because sometimes having vaginal sex right before collecting can show a ‘transient’ HPV infection (one that will soon clear on its own). But if you use the Wand sooner, it is still safe. It is also safe to have sex after using the Teal Wand.
