Yes, you can use the Teal Wand if you have an IUD or other similar contraceptive devices (e.g., NuvaRing). There were women in our clinical trial who had IUDs and used the Teal Wand to collect a sample. We did not see any differences in results between those people with IUDs and those who did not have IUDs. The clinicians also examined all study participants after their self-collection with the Wand, and there were no reported issues with the IUDs in the study; however, differences in string lengths and IUD position could vary from patient to patient. **Precaution:** While the risk is extremely low, individual factors like longer string length or a lower IUD position could potentially cause the string to catch on the Wand.
