Where do I need to be during my telehealth appointment with the provider?

Schedule your telehealth appointments (e.g., Intro Visit, follow-up visit) for a time when you know you will have a private space to talk to the provider, a device to connect to the Zoom virtual meeting, and reliable internet connection. Many people prefer being at home for these telehealth visits, which should only take 10 minutes.

For the best video visit experience, download the Zoom app to your preferred device. You can test your connection ahead of time here. You can also use Zoom on your web browser, without the app. The Teal provider will call you on your phone if they are unable to reach you on Zoom (read more about joining your video visit here).

We require that you are physically located in your state of residence during the time of this virtual visit, as it helps ensure the provider who is assigned to see you is licensed to provide care in that state. If you’ll be in a different state during your scheduled appointment, please reschedule your appointment for a time when you are back in your state of residence to avoid any issues with care or coverage.

Also, please note, the provider will not be able to carry out your visit if you are driving at the time of the appointment.

You can learn more about why the the Intro Visit is an important part of getting you started on the Teal screening here, and why follow-ups are important after abnormal HPV results here.
